Holiday Shopping Reflection by Caleb Strackeljahn

What we did was we went holiday shopping at Walmart.com for kids less fortunate in 6th grade advanced math class. We used math by seeing what will be %25 off, tax, and we found the different on Walmart and Amazon because stuff on Amazon is sometimes cheaper, but we will go buy the stuff at Walmart though. What I got for a kid is a soccer ball with cone set. I also got a rubber baseball for a kid. You could get up to two items under $20. We did 4 different age groups with 2 different price ranges for each one. The soccer ball with cone set was $16.49, and the rubber baseball was $2.26. All together it was $18.75. I chose the baseball because it was small, but can be super fun and can be shared. I chose the soccer ball with cone set because it is a complete set for under $20. The baseball was for a 6-7 year old and the soccer ball was for a 8-10 year old. the other age groups were 2-3 year olds and 4-5 year olds. The ranges were $0-$10 and $15-$20. It was 15 not 11 was so if you got a $9.99 and a $11.99 that weren't so close.

Holiday Shopping Reflection by Austin Breeding

In the Holiday shopping web quest I am giving a Chubby Puppy and friends to a 2-3 year old girl and a truck for a 6-7. I think it is awesome that we are getting presents for the kids in are local community that can't afford them. My total is 19.75 for both of my items. I did multiplication, addition, and subtraction to find my total of numbers.

Holiday Shopping Reflection By Emily Recker

In Mr. Siders advanced math class, we are doing a holiday shopping project. What we do is find gifts that we think the kids in the community would like, and buy them. We also have to do lots of math, like comparing price ranges, and  figuring out tax.  I think that this is an amazing thing to do because it gives us a chance to make lots of kids happy, by giving them presents that they never get the chance to have. It not only makes the kids in the community happy, but it makes us happy knowing that we are giving them what they usually can't have. Every kid deserves to have an amazing Christmas, and now we are giving the kids in the community a chance to have one.

Holiday Shopping Reflection by Mallory Hancock

On October 18, 2017 we started a project called Holiday Shopping Webquest. In this reflection we shopped on Walmart to try and find gifts for boys and girls who don't get much for Christmas. I think that it is nice to be part of a community and help with giving to kids in need. I found many gifts for boys and girls, but the one I chose to actually order and deliver was a Cute Girl Hair Salon 3 Pretend Play Toy Fashion Beauty Play Set w/ Working Hair Dryer, Assorted Beauty Accessories! So I hope that a girl that this object is being delivered to will love the gift that I have chosen for her!
